Indoor Hockey UK is excited to announce the launch of the South East Grand Slam, the newest addition to our growing calendar of Grand Slam events.
Taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026 at Polo Farm Sports Centre, Canterbury, the South East Grand Slam marks an exciting milestone as the third Grand Slam to join the Indoor Hockey UK event programme, alongside our established Derby and London Grand Slam competitions.
Designed to bring high-quality indoor hockey closer to clubs across the South East and beyond, the event will provide an exciting weekend of fast-paced competition, fantastic facilities and the welcoming atmosphere that Indoor Hockey UK events have become known for.
A New Chapter for Indoor Hockey
The launch of the South East Grand Slam forms part of our continued commitment to growing indoor hockey across the UK by creating more opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy competitive, well-organised events.
By expanding our Grand Slam series into the South East, we're making it easier for more clubs to experience the unique Indoor Hockey UK event experience while continuing to invest in the long-term development of the sport.
Whether you're returning to indoor hockey or taking part for the first time, the South East Grand Slam promises a weekend packed with great hockey, friendly competition and plenty of memorable moments.
A Fantastic Venue
We're delighted to be bringing the event to Polo Farm Sports Centre in Canterbury, one of the South East's premier hockey venues.
With excellent playing facilities and ample parking Polo Farm provides the perfect setting for the newest addition to the Grand Slam calendar.
Competitions & Age Groups
We will be running 8 competitions / age groups across the 2 fun filled days at the South East Grand Slam:
Day 1 - Saturday 24 October 2026
- Under 12 Boys (8 teams max) - Warm Up: from 08:15. Games start: at 09:00. Presentations: at 14:45
- Under 12 Girls (8 teams max) - Warm Up: from 08:15. Games start: at 09:00. Presentations: at 14:45
- Under 16 Boys (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 14:35. Games start: at 15:15. Presentations: at 21:00
- Under 16 Girls (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 14:35. Games start: at 15:15. Presentations: at 21:00
Day 2 - Sunday 25 October 2026
- Under 14 Boys (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 08:15. Games start: at 09:00. Presentations: at 14:45
- Under 14 Girls (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 08:15. Games start: at 09:00. Presentations: at 14:45
- Under 18 Boys (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 14:45. Games start: at 15:15. Presentations: at 21:00
- Under 18 Girls (6 teams max) - Warm Up: from 14:45. Games start: at 15:15. Presentations: at 21:00
The entry fee will be £250 per team - aligning with the rest of our Grand Slam events. Entry for the event opens on Friday 7 August at 7pm via the booking system on our website. There will be a virtual waiting room and queuing system in operation to ensure the system doesn't become overloaded.
Spectator entry for the event will be FREE but a ticket will be required - which will be available from Friday 21 August via the ticketing pages on the Indoor Hockey UK website.
Officials & Workforce Availability Opens Soon
We'll be looking for officials and workforce members to support the South East Grand Slam, with availability submissions opening on 21 August.
As part of our recent website upgrades, all officials will need to have a website login to submit their availability. Further information on how to create your login and update your personal details will be shared shortly, so please keep an eye out for further communications.
